Pennants Afghan pattern

I finished a major knitting project and wrote up the pattern for it as a PDF, licensed under Creative Commons.
We've agreed to share the blanket at home, where it will live on the couch:
sleeping boy and blanket Mom, cat and blanket
I'll be posting the pattern to Ravelry too, several commenters there have asked for it based on seeing my project photos.

lisa this is delicious. Does the yarn self stripe?

Lisa said...

Yes, about 3/4 of the yarn is self-striping. The rest is variegated either from space-dyeing or spinning.

I'm excited to make this gorgeous pattern. I tried making my first square last night. When I move the stitches down the other end of the needle between the 10th and 11th stitches, am I then supposed to end up with a non-garter stitch row? Or did I do something wrong? (Blame it on the beer during the Super Bowl.)

Yes, between row 10 and 12 is an extra non-garter stitch row, a bit of a deeper ditch than usual between garter rows.
